“It is creative to deliver a perfectly crafted poem - but equally and also so to bring a smile to a senile person with a song from a carer - and so many other thing.” Professor Mallory

I want adventure and spontaneity. That means energy, always. I want to feel interested and involved in the world. I want city life for a while. I want simple living. I want laughter and honest conversation. I want music and dancing. Wild sort of dancing. I want to work with good, interesting people in a good environment that makes it easy for me to wake up in the morning. I want to see positive changes in communities. I want to be happy. I want to experience all that I can emotionally, physically, mentally: always challenging the way that I am living but also appreciating stillness. (Yeeeees, a dramatic, poetic stillness.) I want a creaky home with paint chipping a little bit, comfortable, authentic furniture and clean, healthy food in the kitchen. A bench. Lamp posts. Lots of trees and lots of people. I want an old bathtub near a window so I can watch the leaves change and the snow fall. I want a family. I deeply want a family to love someday.

A free ride?

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.” —Mary Oliver, “Wild Geese”
